Welcome to the TAPAS page!
TAPAS is a vibrant, thriving and friendly social organization.
Its members come from all walks of life, it's a veritable smorgasbord of talents and skills!
TAPAS started out in 2004 as a theatre group.
Since then, it has grown and expanded considerably.
Nowadays its activities encompass many aspects, and the TAPAS community is an umbrella for -
• A regular programme of theatre and musical productions.
• Choir and Theatre group
• An exciting and varied Social Events calendar
We welcome and extend an invitation to anyone to come forward and join us!
Our ethos is to gently encourage anyone to take part in whatever they feel comfortable with, and have time for. Whether it's helping to organise an event, setting up or clearing away tables and chairs, sewing costumes, painting the stage set, preparing and serving food at the social events – everyone’s contribution is valued and your time and energy will be greatly appreciated!
It's a team effort and all the pieces fit together like a jigsaw!
New faces with new ideas keep TAPAS going forward!
There really is something for everyone!
However, if you have limited free time and just want to come to the fun programme of Social events and productions, that's fine too! Guests and visitors are always welcome to attend – virtually all our events are open to everyone. It's a great way to make new friends and meet up with old ones!

TAPAS CHOIR SUCCESS AT THE MIJAS INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

"Searching for Doctor Branovic" - The Tapas production reviewed

“That was SO funny”
“ How did they manage to learn all those lines – the cast were brilliant”
“ Definitely madcap, and definitely another big success for TAPAS”
Just some of the many nice comments from the audience at the recent TAPAS production which was held for the first time in the intimate downstairs theatre room at Los Arcos.
The opening scenes in the mortuary brought instant laughter as Joe Tyler ( Andy Busby) raised his head, climbed down from his post-mortem trolley and ambushed the doctor! Still wearing his hospital gown, he arrives home to surprise his inconsolable wife Emma ( Sue Sullivan) who had just bade farewell to Mrs Bannister, the funeral director ( Liz Haigh). It was just the start of a madcap two hours of great entertainment as the wacky plot unfolded. Despite suffering injury at having a hole drilled in his hand, and always suspecting that Emma Tyler knew more than she was letting on, it was Inspector Monroe ( Mark Rose) who had the near impossible task of trying to piece together what had really happened with the help of the mysterious Doctor Branovic ( Stuart Gilbert). All the cast are to be congratulated on a fine performance and it is another fantastic achievement for Lee Lingwood, who produced and directed the production.
Our thanks go to all of you who came and watched the play, and to the friendly Los Arcos hosts for all their help and hospitality.
