Dear InMalaga,
I am writing to you out of sheer and long standing frustration at the way our so called leaders, not only in the UK but around the world, are treating the very people that need them and indeed “voted” them into power.

I am sure you have had many letters about this subject but something is pushing me to add to the throngs ! Perhaps to be a catalyst !

I now live in Spain, which is wonderful but other than the weather and a far more “laid back” attitude in some ways, has little more to offer than anywhere else in what we call the “civilised world”. The reasons I left the UK were many fold but it centred around the fact that the UK “government” were, and still are, taxing the decent working people of the UK to the hilt in “hidden” taxes, telling us what we can and cannot do (outside of the normal ethical aspects), restricting what can be done in favour of what SHOULD be done and stupidly punishing those for relatively minor offences whilst treating serious offenders with their “rights” as if it would offend if treated as they should be ! Governments are there for the people and voted in by the people. WE ARE THEIR EMPLOYERS !

For many years we, as humans, have had the technology to run vehicles on water. A simple solar panel will split water into hydrogen and oxygen (H2O), the car runs on hydrogen and the exhaust is oxygen !! This was never taken up seriously. WHY ? Because “governments” are dictated to by the oil companies. Now everyone bleats about “global warming” as if this is new ! This planet has been warming up since the last ice age in case you haven’t noticed, as there is no ice ! What were our cave bound friends driving at that time, 10,000 years ago, to cause such destruction ! A week or so ago there was a program about the electric car. It was titled “Who killed the electric car”. This technology has been around for years as well and yet again was suppressed by those that deem themselves to be bigger than the rest of us and will only promote that, that will produce obscene profits ahead of progression. Gillette bought the rights to a un-bluntable razor blade and buried it, so as to make us continue to buy razor blades at grossly inflated prices ! Printers and printer ink ! Do I need to go on ! How is this helping people and why do “governments” allow this to happen.

Why is it that when some madman decides to get a gun and shoot people in the street the “government” decides to ban guns for EVERYBODY. Why, when a stabbing is reported in a school by one wayward child, there is a countrywide ban on knives and a “knife amnesty” that affects everybody again. Why, when a perfectly legal substance such as tobacco is deemed to be so unhealthy it is NOT banned but restricted so massively as to be made unpleasurable for all. Maintaining the tax profits for the “government” of course ! Why is a so called lethal weapon such as a car, in most peoples lives a necessity, deemed to be so dammed as to be taxed so highly and the target of such a massive resource of police activity, such a high priority in the “governments” minds. The police resources involved in traffic activity is obscenely weighted against the very purpose of police in making the community safe. THAT’S WHAT THEY ARE THERE FOR.

If, as above, the “government” were really interested in making life a better place to be then, instead of going to war with oil bound countries, they would have helped to develop NON oil based technology and told the oil based countries currently holding the west to ransom to simply “get on with it” and walk away. But no, the hold over them is such that they are prepared to go to WAR and sacrifice millions of innocent people in the process. WHY, when there is a “threat” of simple flu, agreed a threat but then we get flu every year, and each year it is a different strain and kills a small number, the “government “ ALLOW the media to blow things out of all proportion so as scare the living daylights out of children (BBC news coverage 2 nights ago) and allow a 30 MILLION strong mail shot to the public on the symptoms of flu to go out and order a ridiculous amount of masks which are completely useless ! In the process of “government”, and those within it, trying to keep their jobs, grace and favour homes, expense accounts, and high profile WE HAVE allowed them to ride roughshod over us and to deliver to us NOTHING but high prices, low quality and a life, certainly in the UK, that most people are now desperate to get away from.

I could go on, as I’m sure everyone reading this will be able to relate to, but surely to God we, as generally sensible people, need to put these hypocritical, pompous IDIOTS that we call “government” in their place and revolt in some way. Before the VERY FABRIC of life, that which we have a relatively short time of enjoying, is destroyed completely simply to keep “MP’s”, “governments” and “fat cats” in a job which they never deserved, are incapable of doing and certainly should not be kept in.
