The track for the practice of skateboarding at the Sports Village located in Torremolinos has been totally destroyed this Monday, after one or more unknown persons set fire to it, causing a fire that, despite being smothered by members of the Fire Department of Torremolinos, resulted in serious damage to this facility.

The fact that the Skate track was made out of wood, allowing greater safety for the practitioners of the sport, has been vital in that not even the quick actions by fire-fighters could prevent significant damage, leaving the installation totally useless to the skate enthusiasts that now have been deprived of the facility.

At the moment the identity of the perpetrator or perpetrators of this new act of vandalism is unknown, in which some accelerating product could have been used to promote the spread of the fire. As regards to the Skate track, it is the fourth time that the venue has been chosen by vandals to damage equipment or public facilities, so it looks that, given the damage, this facility will no longer be active.
