Where ever possible if we have work we will employ people who can’t find jobs, ex- prisoners, young people, adults from single parent families.
The Charity will be funded by organising events, raffles, sponsored walks, etc.
The immediate goal of the charity is to set up fund raising events to give it the capital to get underway.
IN the early stage we would like to buy a van, which would be used for boot sales, picking up peoples unwanted goods to re-sell, to transport workers to events.
We are also looking for premises to start a charity shop where we can sell clothes, books, and other unwanted items we have collected.
We are setting up a section on the newspaper’s website, and a page in the printed edition that will promote the charity, people will be able to send donations through it, they will also be able to send letters telling us of people they know who they think might need help.
We are setting up a network throughout Spain of people who are prepared to take parcels to people in prison who don’t have any family in Spain, we already have four people ready to so this.
We are putting together a team of professionals who will offer their services free or highly discounted to people in trouble.
We would like to set up a place where abused women and children can go for refuge, this might start of as just somewhere to go for a coffee and a chat eventually to a safe haven where women cay stay if they are in danger.
There is no help in Spain for teenagers with problems, be it drug issues, bullying, or problems at home, we would like to set up a help line for them. In time build a youth club.
We are currently recruiting members to raise funds and awareness, the fee to become a member is 10,00 euros.
