The Fair Play sports agency will bring the focus of their national scouts to Benahavis to focus in search of new soccer talents.

On the 30th and 31st July and sponsored by the City Council, Benahavís will become the summer home of the Tournament "The world of football" aimed at attracting new football talents from all categories.

The participation of young talents from different countries is expected and they will play five qualifying matches in the presence of "scouts" from different teams from the first, second and third division.

Former players from the major Spanish teams including Juan Almagrowill also make an appearance at the municipal facilities that host the tournament. The organisation hopes to have the support and presence of Julen Guerrero y Martín Vázquez, among other football figures on the national scene.

The councillor of Youth and Sports, Alonso Mena, said during the presentation of the Tournament that "The City Council has decided that Benahavís has been considering sponsoring the event which has a future and also serves to promote not only sports but also tourism in the municipality. "

Meanwhile, the manager of Fair Play Sports Agency, Gerad Ampudia, has indicated that this Summer Tournament will have up to 240 participants, from alevín (young) until senior. Fair Play has been searching for upcoming talents in different cities and now they play in Benahavis so that the players can be seen by different Spanish teams from various categories. The purpose is to "facilitate team efforts, but mostly to save travel expenses of the parents of kids who want to be players."

The Summer Tournament " The world of football " will be held on 30th and 31st July at the sports facilities Don Jaime Parladé de Benahavís.
