15 Young people participate in kitchen course and work experience in Alhaurin el Grande

PCPI offers speciality training to the town hall of Alhaurin el Grande through its training and development area.
Municipal facilities for these courses hosted the kitchen assistant course which is part of the Programa de Cualificación Profesional Inicial (PCPI) from the Ministry of Education and which has the support of the City of Alhaurin el Grande.
The mayor Juan Martín this morning visited the course accompanied by the Councillor for Education and Employment and technicians of this area to see firsthand the progress of the 15 students aged between 16 and 21 who were part of this course and for different reasons have not obtained a graduate degree in secondary education.
The mayor said that "this course is for them to continue their studies and provide them with skills that enable them to enter the world of work."
Also, the mayor pointed out "important works concerning of improvements have been made recently to these facilities so that they know have the technical means to meet all regulations necessary to conduct such courses."
The program has a duration of 960 hours and includes 102 hours of training and practice in restaurants, bars and hotels of the town, which as highlighted by the Mayor "will provide students with not only a first approach to this profession, but also to the workplace."
The Programa de Cualificación Profesional Inicial consists of two modules: one mandatory, which is currently offered at the municipal facilities for the course related to restoration and the other is voluntary and is to be conducted at the Instituto Antonio Gala if the student wishes to continue their studies to obtaining a degree in ESO.
